Abdirashid Abass Diis
It is being 13 years old
As it is truly an atrocious thing
It’s a practice that destroys lives
Only disasters it brings
How could parents expect under age one to be ready for this colony life
Protection, support and giving hand to innocent little one may be seldom
A waiting is pain, suffering, and sadness
Lying on bed, groaning like wounded
Belly becomes like balloon
Walks like tortoise
As the little one faces degrading, devastating
Emotional events represent an attack simply delays
The healing process restarts and refresh again
As the little one is hurt, stress, depression, scandal and shameful is all there.
It’s a curse for Human society
Prevailing are the injustices
due to ignorance,
It exists where people are dumb and discounted
It is a lot of hunger and having no food
It is needing a shelter but not having one
Child’s sickness but can’t buy treatment.
It’s having no extra garment after shower.
Leyla Abdi Mohamed
It’s opening your eyes as your sun washed face is tense
It’s a sadness that doesn’t make sense
It’s bitter and continual blame by the coward
It’s an awkward act with constant remorse
It’s full of embarrassment and extreme punishment
Its dirty action fake dreams, disgrace and endless problems
Its sadness and suffering that company the wedding night hugging, love and caresses taken away by a searing pain
At wedding night on a wedding bed as fear overwhelms her.
Mahat Abdalla Mahamed
It’s a 12 year old and
It’s crying for a hunger
And distress it’s change
Of life it facing homeless
And lack of food
It’s dying of starvation
The poor being tortured by the wealthy ones
It’s when she faces pain and
Upon which she is stereotyped
It’s just leading hardship
It’s showing regret about
losing the precious organ
After pain and torture by
The grandma from the neighborhood
It’s feeling pain that kills her emotion
it is a brutality and suffering during birth
as the little one gets hurt and face obstacles
From her age mate and the old as the journey
Continues marriage matures might subside.
It’s being 11 years old suffering at the teenage,
It’s living ancestor carrying the blade tormenting
Their own daughters never paying attention to their plea,
It’s as if they are batting their own, cutting and chopping their delicate organs.
The little one it’s being exchanged with a meager coin
It’s painful and worries, no light all darkness, life at risk.
It’s screaming in the darkness no help to the young one in agony,
It is crazy and thinking no more enough.
It’s weak and tiresome, no bite for the maternity.
It’s fear and shivering throughout her life.
No more freedom no more movement.
Father and brother can’t help
It’s screaming and taking the young through agony, painful and tired you can’t imagine all the harassment and suffering in the historic land of man, impacting the dark living gold of humanity.
What is being black
Being black is that we like to eat
And we write and sing and play in harmony
Being black is awesome because sometimes you get stuff free.
Being black is sometimes hard because black people have to work hard to be in America. The Black man help the woman with important stuff like help his pregnant wife sometimes with the little kids elders and the poor
This is how it feel to be black.
What’s it like to be black?
Targeted, put into a category and I don’t mean a good one.
Pushed and picked out
Chosen and told what to be and what not to be.
They say blacks have come a long way but honestly it’s still the same history repeats itself, might seem different but it’s still the same work harder to be what you want in order to make it here.
Separated put into a category
Black it’s just a color we are not different it’s just skin
It’s still not easy being black.
When you’re in this world with your skin being dark they don’t look at you as people
They don’t see you as an equal
They see you as killers and robbers the dummies
Why hate on a person when they making money
It’s so hard in the United States trying to be best when it’s guns in your back from the ones that took a oath “to shield our citizens”
Now we gotta president who don’t care about us our health, education
And I am not hearing this we had a black president ……..it’s long over due
They don’t care about our welfare
